Chat measures and updates to our Guidelines 👮‍♀️

We've been seeing an increasing number of inappropriate messages being posted to the Chat recently, and even though we'd like it to be accessible to everyone, we had to take some additional measures. We have to ensure all the sections of our website are suitable for all age categories, and I think we're doing a great job in all the sections of BraceletBook except for the Chat. Up until now the minimum rank required for posting to Chat was "Advanced" and we're increasing it to "Skiller" from now on. We're also going to be a lot more strict in taking necessary measures like banning user accounts after repeatedly violating our Guidelines. We'd also like to ask all of you to help us making the Chat great again, by reporting any misbehaving users to our moderators. You can do it by just tagging one of our Super Moderators or Moderators directly in the Chat. By doing this you'll help us tremendously in fighting inappropriate behaviour and making the Chat experience a lot better for users who are looking for new friends, seeking for help or sharing meaningful information.

Today we've also published some changes to our Guidelines, which we were discussing and preparing together with our moderators over the last couple of weeks 🙂.
Here's a list of changes we've made:
- added info on how to report inappropriate content and behaviour
- added a new "Chat" section with rules and info on how to report misbehaving users
- added a paragraph in the "Patterns" section explaining how we treat stolen patterns and how to report them
- added "cow print patterns" to "Patterns we generally decline"

We believe that these new measures will improve the situation by a lot, and maybe one day we could even think about lowering these restrictions back to where they were before. So please don't forget to let us know if you see someone breaking the rules! 🙂
